Hi! I'm Holly

I am Holly Wardale, founder of CraftyBun Studio. I am a professional printmaker with over 10 years of experience. I specialise in printmaking techniques such as collagraph, woodcut, linocut & drypoint.  I love how much texture you can get from different printing techniques and the unpredictable nature of the process that you can never fully control.

I have always been inspired by nature and animals which feature regularly in my work. I have also done prints inspired by the fantastic architecture of the Midlands and one of my best sellers is the ‘Best of the Jewellery Quarter’ collagraph print.

I am also a workshop provider with several years of teaching experience. I run regular printmaking courses around the Midlands with community groups of all ages.

I studied Contemporary Fine Art at University and during that time fell in love with printmaking. I love how much texture you can get from different printing techniques and the unpredictable nature of the process that you can never fully control.

Since moving back to Birmingham I have been part of the Birmingham Printmakers taking inspiration from nature, wildlife and the world around me.

I am also a self-employed photographer and filmmaker, allowing me to capture a moment in time and later use my images for printing inspiration.
